libblacs-mpi1 software package provides Basic Linear Algebra Comm. Subprograms - Shared libs. for MPI, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libblacs-mpi1
libblacs-mpi1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libblacs-mpi1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libblacs-mpi1 *
You will get with libblacs-mpi1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
